We believe the motion picture is a portal into feeling, memory and the things we don’t dare say out loud. Our films don’t just tell stories, they wake up what’s been sleeping.
The purpose of IFG is to produce high quality, creative film and television content centred on global themes. Examples are Hotel Mumbai and The Man Who Knew Infinity, both of which were produced by Mark Montgomery – one of the founders of IFG.

We are also developing a children’s animated TV series that will inspire families around the world to explore this wonderful country we call Australia.
IFG has been established around a disciplined financing and production model designed to build a diversified library of commercial film and television assets that make a high social impact while seeking to manage investment risk through conservative project structuring and multiple revenue streams.
The power of AI in modern film making
At Impact Film Group we are embracing the power of AI. Not to replace anyone. Not to do the creative work and story telling for us, but as the most affective tool currently available for creating the films and animations that we are dedicated to creating. There’s a lot of fear around what AI is doing and it’s potential threats, but we look at it differently. As Ben Debs from our team said recently, there’s nothing artificial about AI. He suggested a better definition is: “Accumulated Intelligence”. We love that, and it’s what we’re embracing at IFG.
AI isn’t sentient or conscious. (Or at least not yet.) AI is super-fast computer processing that allows us to ask questions and give instructions while it references and harnesses data and information on a massive scale across computer networks. It has the capacity to summarise and mimic things that have been done before, whilst assimilating that information into new ideas. It’s incredible. But it’s not the end game.
That’s why we see AI as the perfect tool for creating positive change in the world, for creating films that will change lives for the better.
AI is just one of the tools that we are embracing at IFG to create excellent, impactful films. It’s one of the tools we are using to tell stories in a better way. To animate films more efficiently. It’s not about putting people out of work. It’s about working with animators to speed up film production, and that part is still in its infancy. IFG is poised to make the most of these opportunities, so stay tuned as we share more of this journey with you.

Hundreds of millions of years ago, long before humans and way before dinosaurs, the world was inhabited by plants and the simplest of primitive organisms.
